Xianyi get his Ph.D. degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests focus on high performance computational software and matrix computing libraries. He leads an open source matrix computing library, OpenBLAS, from 2010. In 2015 and 2016, Xianyi do postdoc research in UT Austin and MIT, respectively. In the end of 2016, Xianyi found PerfXLab, an edge computing + AI startup company in China.

PerfXLab joins RISC-V foundation in 2018. PerfXLab provides high cost efficient RISC-V demo boards for the embedded system community. PerfXLab is working on porting computational software stack (e.g. OpenBLAS, and other math libraries) on RISC-V.
